Shipping and Returns

All orders ship from Fullerton, California.

Freight: You can view your shipping quote by going to your shopping cart and clicking on calculate shipping cost shown just above your subtotal. (You must have something in your cart in order to view this option). Please note, this is only an estimate and is subject to change. With the high cost of gasoline, freight charges are becoming increasingly expensive. We are aware of these problems and we work hard to keep shipping costs down. We utilize flat rate boxes whenever possible and we work hard to get your order into 1 box, even if it means repacking the original manufacturers packaging. We use reusable tissue paper, kraft paper, biodegradable peanuts, and lightweight but sturdy boxes to ship your order. We'll even shave off part of the unnecessary parts of your shipping box to bring the shipping weight lower! And even with these time consuming but cost effective shipping techniques, we have less than a .05% damage claim rate!

Rush Orders: If you need your order quickly, please contact us by urgent email or even better, telephone us to make arrangements. (714) 352-0944 M-F 9am - 5pm Pacific Time, even if you have selected expedited shipping when checking out. We regret that we cannot guarantee expedited delivery unless you contact us directly to make arrangements.

Freight Assist Program:  Aside from the normal weight determined freight quotes for UPS and the USPS, we have 2 additional shipping quotations and are intended to help subsidize some of your freight charges:

ZIPCODE SPECIAL RATE:  This is a calculation that allows for a freight discount based on the weight and distance the shipping zipcode is from the origin zipcode. This allows us to help subsidize freight charges fairly whether you are on the west coast or east coast where packages near us here on the west coast will cost less to ship. Your package will ship via UPS ground, or very rarely, parcel post mail depending on whether you live in a rural area as defined by UPS. However, if selecting this shipping option, please provide a physical shipping address instead of a PO box.  Note: This shipping option is only available for addresses within the Continental United States.  If you are located in US Territories, Hawaii, or Alaska or have an APO/FPO address, you should select the appropriate USPS shipping option.

TABLE RATE:  This is a calculation that allows for a freight discount based on the weight and value of you order and will apply to orders of $50.00 or more.  This allows us to help subsidize freight charges on lightweight but higher value orders.  Your package will ship via UPS ground, or very rarely, parcel post mail depending on whether you live in a rural area as defined by UPS. However, if selecting this shipping option, please provide a physical shipping address instead of a PO box.  Note: This shipping option is only available for addresses within the Continental United States.  If you are located in US Territories, Hawaii, or Alaska or have an APO/FPO address, you should select the appropriate USPS shipping option.

You will continue to be able to view UPS or USPS freight quotes because occasionally those charges are less than our subsidized charges especially on very lightweight orders.  If your freight quote is much higher than you expected, please contact us for verification, occasionally our system miscalculates and quotes a higher than intended freight charge, however, if you have selected a higher than intended freight charge and checked out, once your order is packed and ready to ship, we will only charge the actual shipping charges or adjusted subsidized charges, never more.

Processing Time:

All items in stock: If all items are in stock your order will ship according to the chart below, however depending on our order load or inventory receipt dates it can sometimes take a little longer and your order will show a status of -processing- during this time. We make every effort to notify you if your order will be delayed, however that is not always possible.  If you need your order by a certain date, please contact us directly.

Some items out of stock: If some items on your order are not currently in stock we will generally offer a substitute if available. An important note: we cannot backorder items that display an expected receipt date, orders with items pending receipt will be held to ship complete.

Large orders - On larger orders we will ship the in stock items and backorder the out of stock items which will then be shipped at a later date at our expense. If the out of stock item is a larger item or a large portion or your order, and it would not be feasible for us to backorder, we will hold the entire order and notify you, your order will then show a status of -holding for stock- sometimes with a projected ship date. (You do have the option to take delivery of your order in 2 shipments, however there may be an additional shipping fee.)

Small orders - If you do not select a substitute, and if your backorders cannot be shipped via first class mail, we will hold your order and ship complete. We can ship your order short if requested but there may be an small additional shipping fee.

All companies have different policies on backorders, however by offering substitutions and by backordering out of stock items and notifying you at the time of shipping, you will not be surprised with a short order and asked to order again at another time.

Carriers: We ship by Priority mail (1-2 day delivery), Parcel Post (4-10 day delivery), First Class (2-5 day delivery), and UPS (1-5 day delivery) all depending on location and weight. We also deliver via our own delivery van for local orders. We also try whenever possible to utilize flat rate boxes by the US post office and includes 8x8 and 12x12 inch boxes, which can ship internationally, and also special flat rate 12x12 inch boxes for APO/FPO addresses. We can also process overnight shipments, but you must contact us directly to make arrangements.

International: We ship internationally to Europe, Canada, and Australia. Your freight quote will be displayed on the screen as mentioned above under Freight this is only an estimate and it is subject to change, we will notify you if your freight charge will be higher than originally quoted. The US Postal Service is no longer offering the economy option by sea, we can ship via international priority or first class only. We regret that we are unable to process backorders on any International order, you will be notified if we must hold your order to ship complete, and you will have a chance to remove or substitute the item if you would prefer. Please be aware that processing time for larger international orders can sometimes take several weeks.

Returns: We understand the difficulties of online purchasing. Sometimes an item received is not quite as expected, or can not be used for the intended purpose. Please carefully inspect and evaluate your purchases from Lotta Displays. If you are unhappy with any item you receive, you may return it to us without a return authorization, unused and in its original packaging, within 15 days for a full refund of your purchase price. We regret that we cannot accept the return of any item that has been used, if items are returned used we reserve the right to refuse to issue a refund or credit, and you will be liable for return shipping charges. Items must not be returned to us beyond the 15 day time period unless you have written authorization from Lotta Displays, terms and conditions may apply to returns after the 15 day time period. Items returned without written authorization will automatically be charged a restocking fee of 25% and only store credit will be issued for the balance.

Damages/Defects: DAMAGES:  If you have received a damaged item, please contact us immediately for a possible replacement or refund, all claims for damage must be made within 3 days of receipt, and we reserve the right to request a photo of the damage prior to claim processing. DEFECTS: We make every effort to check merchandise before it ships, however on some occasions we may be unaware of a certain manufacturers defect. The item can be returned to us and we will refund the purchase price and in some cases even issue a partial credit on your outgoing shipping charge, if it is agreed that the product is indeed defective, we will also issue a refund on your return shipping charge. You must email us for a return authorization number once you have determined the return shipping price and before shipping, defective items returned without a return authorization number will not be eligible for a refund on your return shipping charge. We regret that we cannot ship a replacement item on defective merchandise as received from the manufacturer.
